How long has Mesopotamia been part of Iraq?
Mesopotamia is a region. Iraq is a country. Therefore, Mesopotamia has existed since the Euphrates and Tigris Rivers started flowing. Iraq has only been a political entity since 1919 and a truly independent one since 1954, its borders never changing. As a result, Mesopotamia has always been in Iraq since Iraq began to exist.

Why does the US invade Iraq and Afghanistan for humanitarian intervention but they won't intervene with the corrupt politics in Africa?
The premise for the war in Iraq was not one of humanitarianism. The justification for the war in Iraq was based on the belief that Iraq was associated with the terrorist strikes on 9-11 and that they were pursuing and creating weapons of mass destruction. Both claims were proven false after the fall of Iraq.
