The anchovises that are fermented to go into it contain natural MSG and the fermentation process just amplifies that, which is the entire point behind the fermentation process.

If you don't believe just look up how much msg do anchovises contain naturally. It doesn't need to added MSG because the whole reason for it's existence is the MSG from the fish in it, which is why a dash of it is in many recipes.

Look up which foods contain MSG naturally if you want to avoid it, do not look just whats on the label.
