I used Gaara's and Kankuro's Ariel attacks to get them on the ground and then used Naruto's Rasengan, it does take a while.

Yes he does. The Akatsuki take him and Naruto, Elder Chiyo, Sakura and Kakashi find him dead, killed by Deidara. As Sakura tries to heal him Naruto stands there watching, preparing himself for whatever may happen.
After Gaara loses to Naruto do Temari and Kankuro start to love Gaara?
YES!!! Kankuro and Gaara grow very close as brothers, Kankuro grew more close to him then Temari did but that's only cause Gaara spend's more time with Kankuro, but Teamari loves her baby brother all the same. You can still tell she cares a lot for her brother when Gaara and Deidara fought in the Shippuden. Gaara becomes the next Kasekage of the Hidden Sand Village, and the akatsuki came for him, to take away Shukaku. Which kills the host of the demon when it is extracted. He does survive, but he loses the demon, but he is still able to wield sand as a weapon. Naruto greatly affected gaara in his fight with him in the chunin exam arc, as naruto proved to gaara that true power comes from the need to protect something/someone you love, which gaara, thanks to uzumaki, realized. In the Shippuden when Kankuro was telling Gaara not to run for Kazekage cause some of the villagers still feared him and moat of them thought of him as a weapon he told Kankuro how he is a part of the village, how itis is duty to help protect it so that is why he wants to be Kazekage. And how he wants to be more then a weapon and have people exept his existance, he wants to share thing's with other's joy, sadness, pain, and love. All kankuro did was smile and watch the sunset with his brother on the hil side where he found Gaara standing. This realization causes gaara to open up and to begin to care about people, especially his family (kankuro and temari, his siblings, especially), and those friends he made like naruto in the hidden leaf village. Naruto changed gaara, and therefore, changed kankuro too, as well as temari, who later hooks up with shikamaru. Naruto is the one who creates the strong bond that causes these sand ninjas to back them up when naruto and his group (with shikamaru being the new chunin leader) are struggling against orochimaru's goons, known as the sound 4, (he sound 5 when Kimimaro show's up and fight's Lee)as well as Kimimaro to escort sasuke personally back to orochimaru's headquarters. Oronically, naruto befreinds the very enemy that was sent to destroy his village, and not only that, but causes him, gaara (as well as his siblings), to fight against the very same forces that they were fighting with in their assault on the village hidden in the leaves, the sound 4. (Gaara saves Lee from Kimimaro, Temari saves Shikamaru from Tayuaya, and Kankuro saves Kiba from Sakon.) Gaara dies on episode 17 of Naruto Shippuden BUT HE COMES BACK TO LIFE Spoiler: Gaara is Kazekage(leader) of the Hidden Sand Village when and enemy comes known as Diedarra (a person from a secret,evil organization call the Akatsuki) with his master Sasori(another member of the Akatsuki).Diedarra attacks the village in search for Gaara so that he can take the Jinkurri(monster) out of Garra.Both of them fight and eventually Gaara looses.Gaara then is taken to the "headquarters" of the akatsuki and has the monster taken out of him(and dies).Naruto comes with his team(naruto's team is:Naruto,Sakura and Kakashi) and is determained to rescuse Gaara.An old powerful lady comes with them and she was the one who put the monster in the first place in Gaaras body.She and Sakura fight Sasori and finish him off.They find Gaara dead on the floor.Later on the old lady uses this "Life Giving" technique and brings Gaara back to life but pays the price to use that technique and dies.Finally when Gaara and everyone is heading back to the Sand Village, everyone is telling him to go in the village first because he's the leader but Gaara pays respect to the old woman who gave her life willingly to him and he says"Wait,let her to first..." and lets the old lady go in first(people are carring her,just in case you thing how she can walk).Hope that helped!

yes but the akatski take the Shukaku from him Shikaku=1 tails by sasukelover21- yes. gaara is a jinkuriki. he has the 1 tail inside of him. Gaara becomes the kazakae of the hidden sand. he is later captured by Deidara who kidnaps him and brings him to the akatski base. this is where he gets the demon extracted from him. otherwise known as the shukaku. (apologize for spelling) during this, he dies. no jinkuriki survives after getting it extracted. it is impossible. but Gaara comes back to life when a elder lady chiyo uses a jutsu on him to bring him back to life. she traded her life for his, and she did this because she was the one who put the demon inside of Gaara. when Gaara returns to the village he is welcomed by everyone, just as he wanted. he didn't want anyone to fear him and he wanted to be like naruto. when he returns to the village, he resumes his duties in the sand and continues being the kazakage.
