George Croghan was buried in Kentucky and later his body was exhumed and moved to Fremont, Ohio where he was reburied in front of the public library there beneath his monument. "Old Betsy", the cannon he used in the defense of Ft. Stephenson (located at the site of the fort) is also there.
The library basement was made into a museum of his affects and letters.
