It has been said that if enough people ask God enough times for enough things, some of those things will happen purely by chance. Chance does not give us everything we pray for, but we remember the times our prayers were answered and tend to forget the times when fortune went the other way.

∙ 8y agoNo. In the great majority of cases, God does not give people everything they ask for. This is because:
- We need to be reminded that God is the boss
- There are things that we don't need
- There are things that we don't deserve
- There are things that are harmful
- There are things that would cost us too much in spiritual terms
- Perhaps we didn't ask properly or sufficiently.

Why does God not always answer prayers of petition?
I am going to answer this question as a Christian. The Christian God, in Jer 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you good hope and a future". Sometimes when we pray prayers of petition, we ask for things that are not good for us. God is loving and omniscient; he knows everything and so knows what is good for us- he doesn't answer every prayer. You can liken it to an earthly father. Lots of fathers don't give their children everything they want, and that is not because the fathers don't love their kids. If the father is able to give but still decides not to, it might mean that he doesn't think it's good for you. The same applies to God, he loves us and knows what's best for us so sometimes he doesn't give us what we think is best for us. Another way to think of it is this: God always answers prayer; sometimes the answer is 'no'. God only hears the prayers of the saved(John 3:16) who have apoligized for their sins that they realize they have commited. His answer for them is always, "Wait, Yes, or No." BUT, God ALWAYS receives those who ask for salvation.

Everything. God is Almighty, there is nothing he doesn't know. We could ask for all the knowledge in the world like Solomon, and we could get money from it and get rich. All we need is absolute faith in God. But if we were true christians, we wouldn't ask for money anyway so we only need the knowledge about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Bible.
What is the point of everything?
The point of everything is to glorify God. That is why the world was created and that is why we exist. Therefore, he wants us to know him and be close to him so he can help us. But mankind wants more than one way to God. They are not satisfied as a whole that God has provided His Son Jesus so we can be close to God and have fellowship with him. That is the point of everything that what God has created would bring us close to him because we are glorifying God for what He has created.
