Yes, that is one of the most beautiful things in Islam. If you are sincere and you return to Allah, he will forgive you. He is omnibenevolent and loves us 70 times more than mothers lobe their children. He's always waiting for us to repent and return to him so you should always do tawbah (repentance) and never be disappointed in the mercy of Allah.
To get your repentance (or Tawba) accepted (per God will) you should first admit the sin you committed, intend not to repeat it, ask forgivness of those harmed by your sin (if any), ask sincerely God for forgiveness, then God would forgive you per his will (In Shaa).
