The influential Christian theologian C.S. Lewis used to write about the "sub-Christian" religions, as he called them. The most tolerant and flexible of all religions is the Unitarian-Universalist Church, and they believe that every religion has its own validity, but they also believe that of all the valid religions in the world, theirs is the most valid. Islam is at the other end of the spectrum from Unitarian-Universalism. In a Muslim country, any Muslim who converts to another religion is guilty of a capitol offense and can be executed for it. So I would say that the recognition of other religious beliefs is not that good, in Islam. A Muslim would explain that once you are in possession of the One True Faith, there is no need for any other. Logical, wouldn't you say?
