First what kind of Isuzu. Usually it would be GM motors that fit
replace with 30w engine oil. anything heaver will burn out trans bearings.

Most cars today used dual cam or more for power efficiency and lower gas emission for longer mileage.
If it's from another identical engine, sure. If it's from a different kind of engine ... it may physically fit, but there's no guarantee that it will "work" in the sense of giving the proper reading, and it may even damage the engine itself (if it's too long and sticks into some place it's not supposed to be).
