Does Jack the Ripper have a wife and kids?

This question can not be answered because we do not know who Jack the Ripper actually was.

Since most people do at one time or another, it is probably safe to assume that the Ripper had some family somewhere, at some time. We just don't know who they were.

Unknown-- The full extent of any crimes commited by the serial killer known as "Jack the Ripper" is at present as much a mystery as this persons true identity. What is known for sure is that the killer claimed 5 victims in London's East End between August 31 and November 9, 1888. The crimes were linked by the brutal manner with which the killer used a knife to slash and stab his victims. Some were mutilated post mortem, and the killer is known to have taken body parts as trophies. The killer remained faceless, uncaught and unknown to this day.

Most serial killers murder people that they do not know. This is what makes their capture so difficult for law enforcement. Most killers murder someone they know. That makes sense. There is usually a reason to kill them, at least to the murderer. That link is how most killers get caught.

We have never been able to determine who Jack the Ripper actually was, therefore we do not know whether or not he had descendants. However, some of the suspects (such as George Chapman) did have descendants.

Sis Jtr was never caught and identified it would be impossible to tell. Over the hundred forty years after his crimes there have been so many theories as to who he was and if he had family.

heTre have been no shortage of people claiming they were related to, claiming they knew him, claiming they are if fact the reincarnation of JTR. If the Ripper were alive today I bet he'd get a hoot out of that last one.

One very interesting theory was put forth by bestselling author Patricia Cornwell in her 2002 book 'Jack The Ripper:Case Closed. Cornwell believes the Ripper to be a well-known English artist that had some form of penile deformaty, possibly made worse by repeated surgical treatments to correct the problem. If this were the case he may have been unable to procreate. As a strange twist, all of his 5 siblings never had children either. This could also be a plausable reason why none of the Ripper's victims were 'violated'. Although being prostitutes, it would be very hard to tell, any one of them could have been with several different men in the hours before their deaths.

So until someone can verify exactly who Jack was, we have no hope of finding relatives from jack the ripper
