It depends on how the signal is. If it's good then yes it will work the same as Australia but if you're going to a poor place in Japan with not too many good signals then it won't work as well (This was for the internet). The apps will work the same though.. Unless it needs internet connection and there's not good internet connection in the place you are in. ^^^^^ Thank You !! :DD
