I'm am currently plugged in using my Macbook directly into the wall jack. The only reason I can is because the power supply (the box part) can handle 110-240volts of electricity. US is 110-120 and Thailand is 220 apparently. If you look at you appliances they should tell you how much range they can handle (110~120V or 220~240V) If it isn't around 220 you can't use it, but they still fit in the wall. Don't do it though.
