A gas engine produces its own vacuum, where a diesel engine has to have vacuum artificially produced. Your transmission problem doesn't sound like a vacuum problem. Have you checked the fluid level? When was the last time you changed the Transmission Fluid filter?
Change to a more proficient transmission.
Better gas mileage and it will pick up speed faster when shifting gears.
A standard transmission is not necessarily faster. You do however have more control over the shifting sequence, so you can often push the car more than an automatic would allow.
lamborghini is way faster than a mercedes, it can go 25 miles faster.
No
ECT stand for electronically controlled transmission. This means it uses the computer to send a signal to the transmission to allow each gear to be held longer and rpm's are pushed higher before shifting up. This is used when u need to go faster or more power.
Gas is faster but with diesel you have a bigger towing capacity, probably better fuel efficiency, and more horsepower.
sports mode it supposeably changes the shifting points to make it accelerate faster
Mercedes Benz E63 AMG
the lamborghini murcielago is faster
FERRARI
Vehicles with manual transmissions almost always have more net horsepower at the rear wheels. More power is siphoned off through the torque converter in an automatic transmission than through the clutch and pressure plate in a manual transmission, thereby giving you greater rear-wheel horsepower from a manual transmission. That being said, automatic transmissions shift from gear to gear faster than you are able to shift gears in a manual transmission, unless you are really, really good at speed shifting. :)
