No. It is used to try and prevent viruses and get rid of any existing ones.
Your computer can get a virus simply by going to the wrong website or opening the wrong email. People will send you emails with viruses in them and when you read them your computer gets infected. The best way to protect your computer from viruses is to have anit virus software.
they are send by a person so your computer dosen't work
There can be many risks if you share files from your computer to someone else computer. If you do not know the person well, they could send viruses to your computer, download malicious software, or steal files from your computer.
All computer viruses that can run code on your computer have the potential to destroy everything or send your personal data to a hacker.
You can either send a nasty letter to Norton (which won't get you anywhere :/), or you can install other antivirus software (after, of course, uninstalling Norton). If you chose to install different antivirus software, I would recommend Microsoft Security Essentials which in my opinion is the best antivirus software out there. It is completely free. It doesn't slow down your system, or anything like other antivirus software do. I barely notice that I have it except when every once in a while it asks me to scan my computer (which is a good thing). If you don't want to download that, there is also AVG Free. It isn't nearly as good, it has advertisements, and it slows down your computer, but I like it way better than Norton. Hopefully this helps, sorry that I don't know a way to stop Norton from doing that.
It's called Spyware. Spyware is not the same as Viruses as Viruses are designed to spread malicious code to other computers and cause damage. Spyware quietly lurks in the background secretly stealing private information from the computer.
Any website can. That is why everyone should get Internet security.
Viruses can be harmful in many different ways. There are viruses which can erase all data on your computer, copy it and send it to someone, install programs which can record your usernames and passwords and many more. I recommend you get a Virus Protection Software if you want to stay safe. I recommend Malwarebytes which is available for Windows, MacOS and Android OS.
Anti virus software is important because it specializes in the quarantining and removal of viruses. A virus is malicious code that has the ability to duplicate and they send copies of itself to other computers. Why are viruses bad. They can delete or alter files, send themselves to recipents on your contact list, freeze your computer and more. Anti virus software helps home users and business stay protected. However, there are plenty of more threats out there. So recommend Windows Live Onecare. It will protect you from all known threats. That includes worms, trojans, spyware, adware, phishing, pharming, and grayware
Hacking is someone who makes a piece of material operate the way it shouldn't. Typical example: Hacking is someone who runs a piece of software and makes that software do things it's not supposed to such as send out bugs, viruses or even record someone's activity on the computer
Frostwire is peer to peer (P2P) software that allows you to connect to other peoples computers and they can connect to your computer. Once connected you can share files. This is not illegal. Most files which contain music, movies, games, software etc. will be copyrighted and it is illegal to share (to send or receive) such files. As you do not know who is sending the file it may well contain viruses and/or malware that can compromise the security and functioning of your computer. In many countries distributing computer viruses is illegal. To sum up; the Frostwire software is not illegal but what people do with it very often is illegal.
Computer voice software allows the user to write essays, send emails, and edit documents all by voice. One downloads the software and then gives verbal commands to the computer.
