Pat Robertson's eschatology has evolved somewhat over the years, and he is now a committed post-tribulationalist.
He believes that The Bible depicts 2 comings of Christ, one as the Messiah in Isreal, which happened 2,000 years ago, and a 2nd climatic coming, which is a future event for us. There is no "secret rapture" to happen before a 7 year Tribulation period in his reasoning.
He believes that Christians will survive the Tribulation unharmed, and that God will protect them in many much like the way God protected the Hebrews during the plagues on Egypt just before the Exodus. The similarity of those earlier plagues to the ones mentioned in Revelations gives credence to the view.
