Does Rolls-Royce allow people to open hood?

How can you get the hood open on a 96 Ford Taurus w a dead battery in it Didn't think it required power?

I didn't know that one would require a battery to open. but if so one thing that you can do is to take the two cables off the back of the switch that opens that hood and add a 12 volt battery. press the button and walla the hood will open. If you are talking about the hood for the engine, it doesn't need power. If you have pulled on the hood release latch inside the car and the hood didn't pop up, it might just be stuck to the rubber seal. You might need someone to help you fix this. Have someone lift up on the hood while you pull on the hood release latch. If you are by yourself, pull the hood release latch and then go out and pull up on the hood - it might still pop open. Note: There is a safety catch that won't allow the hood to open simply by pulling on the hood release latch inside the car.
