silicone spray did well for me. but i don't know what the long term effect on my keyboard will be. this is a desktop keyboard. laptop keyboard is a very different thing. silicone spray does protect rubber, etc as well as lubricate and is not conductive of electricity. so far, its worked very well.
When you select a laptop computer desk, take a few things into account. Namely, keep in mind that since you are not using an additional keyboard, the "keyboard" shelves on most computer desks will likely be uncomfortable to use.
Sony vaio laptops are effective in getting the job done, it has a qwerty keyboard. Some of the things that are bad about the vaio laptop is, it has a small keyboard.
Some sticky substances are very yucky things. Boogers are sticky and they are very nasty things. Molasses is also sticky.
Cosmetic wear - is things like... faded letters on the keyboard, minor scratches on the screen, loose hinges etc.

New things in this years technology world are they are not capable of playing video games, or earning money. They are not capable of fast typing keyboard or anything similar to a laptop or even a computer.
One of the best things you can do is turn your keyboard OR your laptop upside down and give it a good shake side to side. For laptops don't shake to hard. After that, take a vacum cleaner with a small brush attachment, run it across the keys a couple times. You could also have someone hold the keyboard upside down and do this. When all is said & done......Go buy some Xtra large ziploc bags, one that will fit over the laptop keyboard part. You can work the rest out yourself.HardTymes@gmail.com
