Absolutely. Replace any damaged pug wire.
No There are many types of spark plug. They differ in size, heat range and amount of electrodes fitted. To avoid damage to an engine always use the recommended spark plug for that engine. The wrong plug will cause massive engine damage at times.
spark plugs, spark plug wires, really crappy oil, neglect, bad timing, a REALLY bad air filter, etc etc
It might but you may also have bad spark plugs/plug too. A bad distributor cap can cause it to miss too.
I had the same issue with my Pontiac Montana. One of the spark plug wires had cracked and water was causing the issues. I replaced the plug wires and the problem was solved.
bad spark plug wire.
Check spark timing and plug gap. Service the carburettors.
Catalytic converter due to unburned fuel being burnt in the converter. It can also cause damage to the ignition module.
You may do serious damage to the lawnmower if the wrong spark plug is installed.
Most likely a bad ignition oil. Each cylinder has its own coil mounted at the top of the spark plug
If a spark plug is not tightened correctly it will tick when the cylinder compresses.
It is the length of threaded part of the spark plug... When it is to long it may damage the piston at worse... or the ignition may take a place to early... When is to short it may cause not completely burn the mixture of combustion chamber...
Spark Plug Wear and DamageNo, a bad distributor cap will not damage new spark plugs. What does cause damage to spark plugs includes:"Cross-threading" when attempting to screw the plugs into the engine head (s). This will not only ruin the threads on the plug, BUT worse... ruin the threads in the engine head (s).Improperly handling of the plugs [dropping to floor which can break or bend the ground terminal, or break the ceramic part of the plug].Improperly set gap [can cause bad ignition resulting in burning or carbonizing on the plug].There may be some other causes for damage to spark plugs that I cannot think of at this time.
