UMass has one of the nation's premier marine Biology programs. UMass has a impressive variety of programs for marine biology based on if you are seeking to earn a bachelor's or master's degree.
Umass has different specializations at each of the different campuses. Lowell has a great computer science program, Amherst has a great partying specialization. Dartmouth has a good nursing program among many others.
Harvard, Cornell and Duke all offer Marine Biology tracks or specialization. If you can get into an Ivy League school, go there for biology even if they don't have a degree program. For schools that specialize in marine biology: University of Miami, University of Texas Austin, Boston University, Berkley, UC Santa Barbara, and University of Washington all offer top notch programs. However, getting a BS in Marine Biology isn't going to land you a career. You'll need a graduate degree to do research. It might be better to go to a school with a good biology program, and get marine biology experience over the summer (like at the local aquarium, or down in Florida/Texas with a summer research program). Be sure to get boating and SCUBA experience, as well. Then your good background in undergraduate biology, along with these summer experiences, will make you a good candidate for graduate school.
It is not possible you need to have a good education with it
Good results ,
I am in the exact same position. i would love to be a marine biologist but have no clue whatsoever, you will need biology (and marine biology if offered) and also, i would be best to have chemistry at your side to back you up, Then you will have to get at least 5 a stars ( no you don't its GCSEs you need no A*stars) further up, you will need a PhD( you dont need a PhD you need a degree) in either biology or marine biology (in marine biology or oceanography), again, whatever if offered to you. good luck! (thank god my answers are there or you woud be stuffed)
There are many branches of science that connect to marine biology like oceanography, botany, ecology, seismology, marine biotechnology, biomedical field and molecular biology. The marine biology field want people with researching backgrounds as well.
Marine biology is a good job if your looking into working with the ocean.
He did really good things, He won the Spingarn Medal in 1915. He is known for Marine biology, cytology, and perthenogenesis. He was an amazing person. He studied biology. And he was very good at it
The Banshee!
Egardo Gomez is a famous marine biologist who did reaserch for the countries foundation of marine biology knowledge. Is that good?
one college I know of is INCOCET in California. that is the only one I know of that only foucuses on that but there are other great colleges that focus on marine biology in general (Boston University and the University of Maine)
It might because you will be able to see all the good things of life.
