On September 1st, a brand new luxury pet resort opened at Walt Disney World. It's on Bonnet Creek Pkwy, across from the Port Orleans Riverside resort. All five of the old kennels (Transportation and Ticket Center, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom, and the Fort Wilderness) are now closed. The new facility is full service -- with overnight boarding, daycare, doggie day camp, grooming -- and has a separate wing for cats and a special room for pocket pets. You can check it out at

No. Yes. I have used the kennel at both Animal Kingdom and Epcot at Disney World in Florida. Very nice facilities and staff and very inexpensive. Half the cost of my kennel at home.

Across from Disney's Port Orleans Resort at Walt Disney World is a luxury pet "resort". But I don't think they allow dogs in Disney proper.

because when he was Little, he had a pet mouse!

Kennel is a place where you can bring your pet when you go to vacation.

Walt Disney got the inspiration for Mickey Mouse from his old pet mouse he used to have on his farm

The cast of The Pet Store - 1933 includes: Walt Disney as Mickey Mouse Marcellite Garner as Minnie Mouse

When he was a boy he use to have a pet mouse named Mickey. When he grew up he made up the Disney character Mickey Mouse. But sadly he died

Actually, yes. Walt got the idea from his pet mouse, Mortimer. That was the name he was originally going to give him, until his wife suggested Mickey instead.

Can you register a dog with the Canadian kennel Club if it is already registered with America's Pet Registry.

put it in the kennel at a pet store they don't get bought never unless you want them to sell it. they feed the groom them pet the pet. they take good care of them i had a pet and we put it in the kennel once. Hey. Uhh you can put your pet in a Kennel during your vacation. It's alot safer than leaving your pets at home alone with only someone say a house sitter to stop by every couple hours to let your pet outside and feed them etc, because pets (especially dogs) have a tendency to knock things over (I would know I have 4 dogs). Although the kennel does cost more money depending on the kennel, your pets will be much safer and better taken care of in a kennel. I hope that helped. Have a good time on vacation ANSWER: The best place for your pet is in its own home with a trusted family member or friend. If you cannot arrange for this, then leaving your pet in a relative or friend's home is second best. The last choice is a kennel, where pets tend to become stressed and susceptible to diseases. If you have to use a kennel, make sure your pet has been vaccinated against Bordatella (Kennel Cough) first, and check out the accommodations to make sure they are a reputable place that will not abuse or ignore your pet.

Yes, you can actually have your dog boarded in a kennel and have a trainer come train him or her. An example of a kennel that does this for you is TripleCrown which is located in Austin, TX.

Walt Disney came up with Mickey Mouse after losing the rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to Charles Mintz. He took a train back to California, where he and Ub Iwerks came up with a mouse character inspired by Walt's pet mouse. Walt originally decided to name him "Mortimer", but his wife, Lillian, suggested "Mickey". There, Mickey Mouse was born.

Pets aren't allowed inside any of the parks, hotels, or buses. But leaving your pet in a hot car in the Florida sun (even with a window cracked) can be fatal. (And is illegal.) Disney has Kennels and pet daycare available. Formerly there were kennel facilities located near the entrance to each of the parks but in September 2010 a new "luxury pet resort" opened on Disney property taking the place of the older facilities. It is located at 2510 Bonnet Creek Parkway across from the Port Orleans Resort at Disney World. The new facility can accommodate dogs and cats as well as more exotic pets such as birds and "pocket pets" such as hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc. Day care and multi-day boarding is available. Proof of current vaccinations is required. The facility is run by Best Friends Pet care which has other locations in 19 states. The old kennel facilities at the parks are now closed. Remember it's against the law in FL to leave a pet in a closed vehicle. If you're camping, pets are allowed at a few sites at Ft. Wilderness Campground. The only animals Disney allows inside the parks are service animals, and so far they're not buying into this "companion animal" BS. They mean specifically "any dog or miniature horse trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability".

Your pet needs to be at least 8 weeks old and have a certificate of health from the vet that is at least dated no more than 7 to 10 days before the date of departure. The pet kennel must be sturdy, well ventilated and allow the pet to be able to move around. Pet toys are generally not allowed in the kennel especially when boarding. Empty food and water dishes should be in the kennel and easily accessible from the outside. Mark the kennel clearly with your name and address. Use markings such as arrows to indicate the top of the kennel. The kennel should also contain absorbment material (for accidents) such as newspaper. You should always contact the airline 24 to 48 hours before flight departure to reconfirm your pet travel arrangements. Most airlines require that you fill out a form as to when you last fed and watered your pet (they will want to see at least 4 hours prior). Be prepared when it comes time for passenger and baggage screening. You will most likely have to remove your pet from the kenne

no Dog kennels are used for boarding. That means that when no one is home to take care of your pet you can take it to a kennel that will do it for you while your gone.

In a local pet store such as petsmart. In a pound. A kennel. A dog shelter

Disney World offers pet friendly accomodations at the Fort Wilderness Campground area of the park. In addition, there are several other overnight/day kennel options offered for the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom sections of the park. Discounts are available for resort guests and DVC members.

Walt Disney's first Cartoons were called Laugh-O'Grahms, but the First Character made by Walt Disney's company was Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Even though Disney's company created Oswald, Universal owned the copyrights and basically kicked Walt off the project he created because Walt wouldn't take a pay cut. That series of events led Walt himself to create a mouse cartoon based upon a pet he used to have while working in Kansas City. This mouse is who we now know as Mickey Mouse. The Walt Disney Company just bought back the rights of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit from NBC Universal in 2006, 77 years after it was taken from Walt.

Dog kennels are typically used for transporting or temporarily housing pet dogs.

No he isn't, he once tried to keep a mouse as a pet while in Kansas City. LOL He accidentally took the baby mouse to school and climbed up on his desk. A girl yelled and the mouse ran, when Walt finally caught it the teacher made him put it outside.

The house for dog is the same thing as a dog house. It is the home of your favorite pet.

It depends on the kennel you take your pet to. Overall, no, kennels are not harmful to your pets. However, if the chosen kennel does not take care of the animals the way that it should it could be harmful.

The Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, Canada is not pet friendly. Most hotels are not pet friendly. Your best bet is to try a kennel nearby or find a motel.

Despite the ride's popularity and many protests, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride closed on September 7, 1998 and was subsequently replaced with The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Many have disputed the reason for Toad's departure, but some including Save Mr. Toad's Wild Ride believe that money was the deciding factor. Protestor and fans of the ride orgainzed mass ridings and wrote letters to Disney in attemp to show the popularity of the ride. And while minor tributes to the ride can be found in Disney World, including paintings of Mr. Toad and Moley within The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and a statue of Toad in a pet cemetery outside of Haunted Mansion, traces of "The Wind in the Willows" characters within Walt Disney World are minimal. Efforts have already been made to reconstruct the ride, including a 3D virtual recreation.
