On September 1st, a brand new luxury pet resort opened at Walt Disney World. It's on Bonnet Creek Pkwy, across from the Port Orleans Riverside resort. All five of the old kennels (Transportation and Ticket Center, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom, and the Fort Wilderness) are now closed. The new facility is full service -- with overnight boarding, daycare, doggie day camp, grooming -- and has a separate wing for cats and a special room for pocket pets. You can check it out at wdw.bestfriendspetcare.com.
No. Yes. I have used the kennel at both Animal Kingdom and Epcot at Disney World in Florida. Very nice facilities and staff and very inexpensive. Half the cost of my kennel at home.

Walt Disney's first Cartoons were called Laugh-O'Grahms, but the First Character made by Walt Disney's company was Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Even though Disney's company created Oswald, Universal owned the copyrights and basically kicked Walt off the project he created because Walt wouldn't take a pay cut. That series of events led Walt himself to create a mouse cartoon based upon a pet he used to have while working in Kansas City. This mouse is who we now know as Mickey Mouse. The Walt Disney Company just bought back the rights of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit from NBC Universal in 2006, 77 years after it was taken from Walt.
