No its just a place that can help you answer questions.
Currently, the WikiAnswers system of trust points hasn't changed - you can only add trust points, and you can only recommend from a question the user has answered by going to the contributors tab and clicking "recommend".
No. The answers to questions are not programmed; the answers come from people that want to give their time to give the answers to questions.
The points on Yahoo Answers allow you to ask questions, which cost 5 points each. They can be collected to get you to higher levels, which allow you to ask and answer even more questions, as each level has higher daily restrictions. You can learn all about that system at the Points and Levels link on Yahoo Answers. They also encourage participation and reward great answers. While you can't use points to buy or redeem anything, they do allow everyone to recognize how active and helpful you've been.
No, WikiAnswers does not have an automated response system to answer questions. All of the Answers are provided by contributors like you.
No, there is currently no system for subtracting Trust Points. It's a purely positive, incremental system. This may be something we will introduce later.
No. The reward is letting you ask questions and get answers for free.
WikiAnswers does not provide answers for illegal actions, such as bypassing the security system on a motor vehicle.
'Historical' points are points earned before a major site update changed the way contributions were counted. The site describes them as "miscellaneous points from our older system".
Personally I found this site by following a link placed in an answer on Yahoo. I have to say in all honesty it was the best thing I ever did. There is so much more that you can do on WikiAnswers, that you are unable to do on Yahoo. Now to answer your question. But there are some disadvantages on Wiki Answers-There are not any system of points and levels and Top Contributor. But the greatest advantage is that the number of trolls here are less,so you should stay here.
That's a good question. Maybe because you don't like Yahoo Answers... Maybe because they shut down Google Answers... Maybe you just like the WikiAnswers system better... Whatever reason... Wikianswers will always be the best Q&A site on the webThat's a good question.Maybe because you don't like Yahoo Answers...Maybe because they shut down Google Answers...Maybe you just like the WikiAnswers system better...Whatever reason...Wikianswers will always be the best Q&A site on the webBecause it gives me something to do.
There are many differences but the main difference is that on Yahoo Answers, whenever a question has been put up,many users answer individually, but on Wiki Answers, whenever a question has been put, there can be only one complete answer to that question, and the users can improve it.Yahoo Answers has a points and levels system, more points you have, higher the level you will be in,however, here on Wiki Answers, contributions of a person are counted and then the user gets the badge according to his/her contributions.
You could be experiencing a glitch or bug in the system, I would contact a community assistant and have them help you with your problem.
