WikiAnswers adds new topics on an almost daily basis. As the amount of questions and answers increases related to a specific topic it is added. There are currentlt 5,280 categories on WikiAnswers.
How come so many questions have been asked on WikiAnswers but there are still millions of questions to be answered?
Wiki is a free website where people ask and answer out of their interest and not for money. There are some people who consistently logon and try to answer all the questions they know. There are a bunch of people who answer on a dedicated basis but still the number of new questions far outnumber the number of people available to answer them. The supervisors and other community members are trying their best to answer as many questions as possible.

Why is answers not answering my question?
The questions on WikiAnswers are answered by online citizens on a voluntary basis. They answer the questions that they want to, when they want to. And although there are a number of people that look through the unanswered questions for the purpose of answering them, there are a lot of unanswered questions that exist and new ones being asked on a continual basis. Also the proper placement into the category that is closest to the question can have some effect. If a question is in the wrong category perhaps it is not visited as much as it would be if it were in the right category. And then there is always a chance that a person may ask a question that most users do not have the answer to.
