No, Windows 7 was actually made , because Vista had to much lags. So Windows 7 basically fixed all those lags in the Vista system.
Earlier versions of windows like 98 were fastest, but lack security and graphics. comparing xp, vista,windows7 the order of speed is vista<windows7<xp (slowest)---------(fastest)
People that bought a new PC and have not yet upgraded to Windows7
as of now it is VISTA but then MS is gonna launch windows7 by 2010.. so thts supp to be real good unlike the goof up wid VISTA
The operating systems are Windows 7 and the earlier Vista, both 64-bit OS. The computer brand name Compaq is now sold by Hewlett-Packard (HP).
if you are running xp 64 then 2gbs shoud be fine on vista and windows7 64 you need at least 4gbs
Imagine if both transformed, vista would be that over complicated robot fighter that doesn't perform to par and windows seven would be easy to control and is a much better performer.

Microsoft does not offer free copies of Windows7. If you already have Windows XP or Vista, you can buy the cheaper upgrade version (119.99 USD) instead of the full (199.99 USD) version. However, your school or employer may subsidize Windows, making it cheaper, or free.
The only way you can run a program on any operating system is when the program is compatible with that operating system. Then there is the small but important point that most people who did use Vista now use Windows7. Versiontracker which is one source of most recent versions of programs is not listing dvdxcopy for windows

If I read your question correctly, I assume you're wanting to replace a Windows 7 installation with a Vista Home Premium installation, if so, simply insert your installation disc in your computer, open the setup, and proceed to install from there.
