YES!!!
In fact, it works better on XP than on Vista. On Vista, if you put music, credits, etc. into the movie, a green bar will appear on the bottom of the screen when you watch the finished movie.
DO NOT use movie maker on Vista, use it on XP.
I beg to differ. I use Windows Movie Maker v2.6 on my Vista machine and have NEVER got this so-called green bar appearing on any of my videos/movies. Ya'll must be doing something wrong during the Publishing process for that green bar to appear. And, I couldn't tell you what you are doing wrong, because it's never happened to me.The most recent Movie Maker for Windows XP is version 2.1.
You can download Windows Movie Maker v2.1 (for Windows Xp) from the link provided in the Related links section below.
If you are asking whether there is a newer version of Windows Movie Maker for XP operating systems, the latest version is v2.1.Newer version of Windows Movie Maker do exist (such as v2.6 and Windows Live Movie Maker) but they are only for Vista operating systems.
You can download Windows Movie Maker v2.1 for Windows XP from this URL:http://www.nomboo.co.cc/2009/10/movie-maker-create-edit-and-share-your.html
Windows Movie Maker 2.6 is a Vista ONLY download. Unfortunately, Xp users can only download the 2.1 version of Windows Movie Maker.
Help with Windows Movie Maker v2.1 (for Xp) is available from:http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/default.mspxNote: Click on the Windows Movie Maker How-To Center
Yes.
no, only can on a windows XP computer:(
If it's the one with McZee and all that, then Yes. In fact, it should work all the way up to Vista, but may glitch slightly there.
No.
You can't have Windows Movie Maker version 2.6 on Xp operating systems. Windows Xp can only load the 2.1 version of the program. Sorry.
In my opinion, Windows Movie Maker v2.6 is best. But, if you have Windows Xp, the only Movie Maker version the operating system supports is v2.1.
