The stock transmission for the 1978 Jeep CJ7 is typically the T150 three-speed manual transmission. Some models may also come equipped with the Borg-Warner T18 four-speed manual transmission, especially if they were ordered with the optional V8 engine. The choice of transmission could vary based on the engine and options selected during purchase.
It can come with either a Getrag manual 5 speed, or an automatic 4 speed with overdrive
No stock GN was ever built with a manual transmission (unless it was modified).
The 1982 Pontiac Trans Am typically came with a standard 4-speed manual transmission. An optional 3-speed automatic transmission was also available for those preferring an automatic driving experience. The choice between these transmissions allowed buyers to tailor their driving experience to their preferences.
Actually the 93 and up Z-28's came with a 6-speed manual transmission. But a 95 LT-1 V-8 engine came with 275 stock horsepower. Hope this helped.
A stock Nissan transmission is usually what comes with it. You know? Sometimes I hear that they had both automatic AND manual transmissions.
There are two trannys that were put into the 1982 Z28. One was a four-speed manual transmission, the other was a 3-speed automatic transmission. The manual shift was a Saginaw Muncie (code R) and the automatic was a TH200C. If your engine is a stock LG4 you probably have the 200C, if you have the higher output LU5, you might have the Muncie. Hope this tech info has helped. Most of this information can be found on Iroczone.com.

Yes you can. My 1994 jeep Cherokee 4.0 actually came with an aw4 automatic transmission stock. It bolts right up. But just to be on the safe side just check the bolt patterns
The gear ratio in the 1979 Ford Mustang turbo four is 3.45:1
It will be on the left side of the tail stock of the transmission.
