I'm not a mechanic / technician but as far as I can tell the 4.6 L Dual Over Head
Cam V8 engine in a 1996 Lincoln Continental has ( 1 primary chain and 1 short
chain inside each engine cylinder head which is called the secondary chain , so
there are a total of 3 timing CHAINS )
