No. To adjust the drive belt, you need to slide the alternator back and forth on its bracket (which requires simply loosening three bolts (two at the top of the bracket, and one toward the bottom of the alternator). To get it nice and tight, you should put a pry bar between the alternator and the engine, push the pry bar top forward toward the windshield. Changing this belt and adjusting its tension is not a difficult job.
