No, the 2002 Hyundai Accent does not have a distributor cap. It uses a distributor-less ignition system (DIS), which eliminates the need for a traditional distributor and cap. Instead, it relies on individual ignition coils for each cylinder to deliver spark directly.
it doesnt have one
Moisture is rarely a problem unless the cap is cracked. Accel offers a high performance distributor that comes with an O ring around the bottom of the cap to seal it to the distributor housing.
probably the fuel pump
Remove the distributor cap and rotor and you will see it. It is the only thing that's in that distributor. It will have electric wires pluged into it.
It is in the very back of the engine. Just follow the spark plug wires from the spark plugs and they will go to the top of the Distributor. That will be the distributor cap that the wires are in.
It is inside the distributor under the dist. cap. The wires that you see on the side of the distributor are hooked to the module.
firing order from spark plug to the distributor cap
Just follow the middel wire that comes out of the center of the distributor cap and it will plug in the coil.
I have a 98 Suburban with the 5.7 vortec V8. The cam sensor is in the distributor. Remove the cap and rotor to get to the sensor. Hope this helps.
you dont have a distributor cause it is electronically distributed wich means that the computer does it
