Your throttle valve switch (position sensor) is bad and need to be replaced.....this is located on the side of the throttle chamber. You can get this from Advance Auto for $60 and is easy to replace...
47 to 60 PSI!
If you have a multi port fuel injected 6 cyl, it's probably the idle air control. I have replaced mine a couple of times over the years. 2 screws and it plugs into the throttle body next to the throttle position sensor. Costs around $60.
I would think a Dana 44 up front and a Dana 60 in the rear, that's what a 77 ford f250 super camper special had anyway. That's correct. - JT owner 1979 f350 crewcab
I found out that it was actually the TPS, throttle position sensor. replaced it, problem solved.
I'm not quit sure by what you mean lose power? But my 03 hemi is at the dealer as I right this because when I was driving, it would have no throttle response at about 55 to 60 mph. It turns out to be the Electronic throttle body sensor. My ETB warning light would come on occasionally but not all the time.
The throttle position sensor cannot be adjusted. They wear out after time but can be easily replaced. Local parts shop sells for about 60-80 bucks and you can replace in about 10 minutes. This includes the time it take to take off air filter housing. remember the housing has one tube connected in the back driver side and a small tube underneath located on the underside passenger side. Also the MAF flow sensor is underneath on the passenger side unclip that (don't break the wire).
This depends entirly on the car. The sensor on my Detroit 60 series cost $450
About $60 US
only if its the Dana 40 or 60
No, the vortec will be about 60 psi. The 1990 throttle body system will be about 15 psi.
