I'm assuming you're referring to a 4-speed automatic car, in which case it will have a TCM. You may have luck at the dealer, I can't find the part number at the moment.
If your car is a 3-speed automatic, the transmission is hydraulically controlled, so no TCM or ECM involvement.
If it has a 4L60E then you need a new transmission control solenoid inside the transmission. If you have the 4L80E then you need to find and change the transmission control module
A person can get a replacement control for their Simmons adjustable bed by dialing (852) 2378 4848. This part is covered under warranty.
Typically, you can find the transmission modulator valve near the rear of the transmission. Its function is to control and regulate pressure.
find the wiper fluid fill and fuse panel, you will see the power control module, and transmission control module, bolted together, normally gray in color, all wires lead to the boxes, so it cant be hard to find
if you are replacing with a new transmission, you are looking at around 3 grand. if you can find a good used one, then around 1500 to 1800
Try salvage yards or try Ebay I have had great luck finding everything for my Baron. Expect it to be a little pricey though
