If it has fuel injection it has one
MAF(Mass Air Flow) sensor, TPS(Throttle position sensor) sensor, IAF(Intake air flow) sensor, EGR, leaking, loose or missing vacum hoses...
You have a faulty fuel pump.
i would have the tps sensor or the mass air flow sensor those are usaully the symptoms for this
On the firewall on the right side. if the car is 3.3l v6 then the car doesn't have a map sensor but it does have a mass air flow sensor the code is the same for both of them only a 2.3 has the map sensor so don't be fooled by this by code 34 the chilton book is very helpful
mass air flow sensor clean it with Qd electronic cleaner worked for me had he same problem with a 93 cutlassciera. runs great now
Open the hood and locate the air filter box. Bolted to the side of the air filter box you will find the MAF sensor. It is held in place by 4 bolts. There is 1 electrical connection to the MAF.
One on each side, on the exhaust manifolds, you can reach them from the top. Should be a single wire if its the base model. An O2 sensor socket, pb blaster, extensions, universal will be required to do this.
You're more than likely in "limp mode" you'll need a new MAF (mass air flow sensor), try a junk yard.
yes in 93 you could get the LT-1 in the formula firebird.
The ac relay on a 93 Firebird is located under the hood. It is in the powerbox. The lid of the box should have a diagram showing exact placement of the relay.
www. motorcraft. com (no spaces) does not list a MAP sensor for any of the available engines in a 1993 Ranger . It lists AIR MASS SENSOR for each engine , I'm assuming that is the MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR which should be mounted near the air filter housing
I have a 93 silverado with a 350. I have a K&N intake, airaid throttle body spacer, headers, high flow cats and flowmasters. The air filter smells like gas, and when I go down a mountain road in 3rd gear as soon as i push the clutch in to shift to second when coming to a stop the engine starts to die out, usually doesnt die completely but has stalled once. I was told to get a new mass airflow sensor by someone, but wasnt sure if there was even one on the truck. Just curious as to what else it could be, or if it is a MAF or MAP sensor or something along those lines.....
