You can use synthetic oil in any engine.
There is a caveat: if there is quite a bit of sludge build-up, the synthetic oil is likely to soften and release the sludge and it could cause problems.
Understand that the primary difference between natural and synthetic oil is that synthetic oil has essentially no paraffin. As oil ages in the engine the paraffin separates and sticks to the non-moving parts. Since synthetic oil has no paraffin, deposited paraffin will slowly dissolve in the synthetic oil and it's possible for large "chunks" of paraffin to float around in the oil and plug the oil pump pickup screen.
Answerevry car has the abilty to take synth. but no car comes with ti from the factory. especially American cars. mb BMW etc the high models are equipped with hence why u pay 5million for an oil change. now on the other side me personally every car i owned ive switched from conventional to synth. now a car like your most def swith it your motor wold benefit from it greatly more power mpg and it will add more life to your engine meaning it will go further have fun just a recommendation castrol is the best. if your a car nut like me then spend a little money and go with lucas. that's what i use. lucas comes wit a warranty that if your motor blow due lubrication that and whatever broke will be replaced no hassle no question and it also does not have to be proven. if you want to improve power etc email me jamel8222@aim .comSAE 5w30 any major brand conventional or synthetic.
