No, the same key used to unlock the car & start the engine is the same key you use to open the trunk. answer If you can open the doors and turn the ignition but can't open the trunk it's because you have a service (valet) key or don't have an original dealer key. Or your trunk key cylinder has failed or rusted shut.

no but if it's not original key the only thing it wont open is the the back seat release to the trunk area Answer The normal key opens all locks. The "Service key" will only open the doors and ignition. This second "service" key is the one you give to your garage when you drop the car off for service presuming they don't need access to your trunk. Answer Both of the above are correct if some one hasn't replaced one or more of the key cylinders,
er, there SHOULD be a key...separate from the ignition key...

Yes, the 1985 Volvo 760 Turbo typically comes with a trunk key as part of its standard key set. The trunk can usually be opened with the same key used for the doors and ignition. However, some models may have a separate key for the trunk, depending on the options chosen at the time of purchase. If you need to unlock the trunk and don't have the key, a locksmith may be able to assist.
depends on the make; Ford & GM have a separate key for doors & trunk; others use one key for all.
