the reason being that pitbulls are not police dogs, because they have lockjaw. look up the definition of it. but the pitbull has a stronger jaw pressure 2,000 pds. per square inch, more than any canine. WRONG. They are not police dogs because german shepherds are faster, and pitbulls do not lock their jaw, they are like any other dog. Their bite isn't 2000 psi. If you want the strongest canine bite, that would be the gray wolf with 1500 psi. Of domestic dogs rottweiler has the strongest bite, german shepherd is 2nd and pitbull is 3rd.

∙ 14y agoyes Rottweiler's have the most powerful jaws of any dog. According to Nat Geo a pit bull puts down about 200-240 lbs of of bite. A Rottweiler puts down about 290-330. It is all the more reason why with both these dogs they should be kept away from foolish and inexperienced dog owners. My rottweiler is well trained and is great around my kids and other dogs. With that said I'm not so over confident that he wouldn't turn on someone even if by accident (thinks he's protecting me).
Yes but also Rotts and Pits both CANNOT lock their jaws.

Both are very loving and protective. Both very good watch dogs. Rottweiler is about twice the size of a pitbull. Really depends on what u want. Do u want a dog to warn u if someone brakes into ur house then get a pitbull dont get me wrong the pitbull will try and stop them but is just to small. The rottweiler will warn u and take down the robber aswell because it will weighs any were between 90-110 pounds and has a higher bite force of than any other domestic dog. I have a rottweiler and personally i love the breed they have everything. There is a reason why they are 1 of the most popular breeds in the world
