If you are talking about the little Corolla/Auris/Blade model with the 2.4 liter engine, no, it does not. It's a chain-driven transplanted Camry engine.
To be sure, check the specificaitons in the related link. The engine model name is listed there. Then just Google the engine name for its specs.
It has a cam belt.
The 1996 Toyota Celica 1.8 Liter & 2.2 Liter have a cam belt. Replace it every 60,000 miles.
Are you sure it has a cam belt. I think it has a cam chain. Look in your owner's manual or call your local Toyota dealer.
the cam/timing belt should be replaced at least every 60,000miles
at 100,000kms
chain
open the cam gear cover n find out for urself!
before it breaks
mine has a timing chain because of the dual over head cam if that helps any
Actually uses a chain. Doesnt require periodic changing like a belt.
On the V6 the cam belt must be replaced every 60,000 miles. This is an interference engine and as such if the belt breaks serious internal engine damage will occur. The 4 cylinder does not have a cam belt and instead has a cam chain which requires no maintenance.
No, it has a cam belt. Replace every 90,000 miles.
