No hydrogen is not available widely enough and is unstable. The Prius is a hybrid meaning it uses both gas and electricity. It gets electricity from breaking, which then goes back into powering the car. It's pretty cool stuff. The only car that is currently being looked at for production is the Honda FCX.
The sun will eventually run out hydrogen at its core, which is the source of energy, so it will die, but it will not explode.
hydrogen has three times the potential energy of gas, but it has four times the volume. It would take less hydrogen by weight but it would take more by volume to run a car
The sun generates energy by fusing hydrogen into helium. Eventually it will run out of hydrogen. However, this won't happen for several billion years.
A red giant is a star that has (to a great extent, at least) run out of hydrogen; it will therefore fuse hydrogen into heavier elements.
It will, but not for several billion years. The sun is powered by nuclear fusion, converting hydrogen into helium. The sheer mass of the hydrogen is enough to sustain it for quite some time.
Ever heard of the hydrogen bomb? It is less stable than you might expect. The above answer is not really correct. A hydrogen bomb is not related to hydrogen gas in this sense. You can run a car engine off hydrogen gas fairly easily and safely in a controlled environment. The problem is to find a cheap source of hydrogen.
NoReason it will not:Your car will run on hydrogen You can separate hydrogen and oxygen from water in one of these devices.Where it falls apart is that it takes energy from the alternator on your car to operate this processThis is not a 100% or better energy recovery between the energy you put in to make hydrogen and the energy your car engine makes when burning the hydrogen. The scammers tell you that your car will run so much better that it makes up for this loss. THIS IS A LIE. The very basic conservation of energy law precludes this. See Mythbusters TV show where they have dealt with this rule many times. These machines do not increase mileage, they do not reduce pollution. They make it worse!
no. But they are working on it. They are developing a process to separate the hydrogen from H2O. An engine can run on hydrogen.
A hydrogen vehicle is an alternative fuel vehicle that uses hydrogen as its onboard fuel for motive power. The term may refer to a personal transportation vehicle, such as an automobile, or any other vehicle that uses hydrogen in a similar fashion, such as an aircraft. The power plants of such vehicles convert the chemical energy of hydrogen to mechanical energy either by burning hydrogen in an internal combustion engine, or by reacting hydrogen with oxygen in a fuel cell to run electric motors. Widespread use of hydrogen for fueling transportation is a key element of a proposed hydrogen economy.
Most likely, fossil fuels are running out and will eventually get depleted. I personally think hydrogen fuels cells is the best way. You use solar panels and that electric power will split the water into hydrogen and oxygen. Your car (for example) will burn the hydrogen ( slowly because i don't want the car to explode) and release the oxygen into the air.
CArs will not run efficiently on hydrogen gas
Hydrogen. The temperatures and pressures are big enough for these atoms to collide or fuse together to make helium. This "nuclear fusion" give of loads of energy.
