No. Beta fish are very sensitive. They die easily because they are extremely suceptible to diseases, and if the temperature of their water is slightly colder than it should be, or if their water is not sanitary- has too much waste (pee or poop) in it- they die. I know this from experience. The same is true with goldfish.
Betta splendens come from the jungles (rain forests) of tropical Asia. They need temperatures between 65F and 80F.
you should put your betta fish in warm or room temp. water.
it might be risky to put your betta in cold water!!!!
Most likely not since they will die of shock but hey.. least you have the body! :D
Betta fish like room temperature- not cold and not hot.
A betta fish should not be in water colder than 72F
yes
A Siamese fighting fish/betta? Yes! They cannot survive in salt water.
Into water, yes. Land, probably.
You need to keep a betta in warm water with a temperate of 75-85 degrees. If you keep it in cold water it will eventually get sick and die
yes but replace half the water every 2 days
It has fur coat syndrome and will most likely not survive. If it is in an aquarium with other fish (especially fish related to bettas) you should get an antibiotic to treat the water with to prevent the other fish from catching it. It is normally caused by your bettas water getting to cold (below 74 degrees F). Bettas are tropical fish and like to have their water at around 78-80 degrees. Sorry about your betta.
A betta fish can live in water set at room temperature, but anything below 68 will start to become fatal.
It is too low if it is below 24 or even 26 degrees celsius. A thermometer will let you know if it is in too cold for your betta.
Yes. All fish are cold blooded.
Siamese fighters (Betta splendens) are a tropical fish and need to be kept at around 78F.
pink tetras.
