In short no. Your cars cooling system is a sealed unit therefore it should not use any coolant whatsoever no matter the ambient temperature.
Abnormally cold air is harder to generate. It is said that a car will use more petrol and/or water to do this. So yes, using cold air blowers will use a little bit more water and/or petrol
No... But it increases fuel consumption
Example sentence - The coolant in my car was leaking out.
No. Use Coolant from honda dealership
Refrigerant - not coolant - and no, they are not compatible.
Start with a cold engine.Remove the radiator cap and fill the radiator with Dexcool coolant (I think it's a red/pink color, not the usual green. DO NOT use any other product.)If the radiator was very low, start the car and add coolant as far as you can. Running a cold engine without the cap won't harm anything and allow air to escape from the cooling system.Replace the cap and add coolant to the overflow bottle. I fill it to the "cold line" so that I can see if it needs more over time.Drive the car and check for changes in the cold level. If coolant is still being lost then you must decide if you want to continue replacing coolant or take it to a shop for proper repair.
Antifreeze/Coolant is a fluid that prevents the car from overheating or becoming so cold that it won't start. Without it, in the summer, your car would run too hot, and in the winter, your car wouldn't run at all.
Just found out from my mechanic the hard way, do not mix the two. If its pink you need to put in pink, more costly about $18.00 a gallon, but worth it.
You can check the coolant reservoir when the engine is cold, if the coolant level is below the add line top it off with the proper coolant, not just water. It is not a good idea to add just plain water. You should use at least a 50/50 mix of water and antifreeze.
Only if it's leaking.
The company that makes the all model coolant claims you can.
sitting with your car on at an idle is bad over time...the motor starts to overheat because no cold air is coming in and the engine will use all the engine coolant trying to cool itself.. turn your car off if you are stopped for a long period!!!
