Yes.
I have two cats that were born with no tails... they have very good balance. I'm sure if a cat loses it's tail it will learn how to climb without using it for balance. And even without tails my cats still always land on their feet.
Yes the whiskers help them balance as well as the tail. All the senses work together to help the cat get around in the dark or tight places. If the cat should lose one or the other then the other senses get stronger to help w/whatever they lost. My cat lost his tail and I was worried about him balancing but he is better then ever, he just had to adapt.
no only if he loses his tail
Yes, a cat will lose some balance if he/she were to lose some whiskers. Whiskers to them is like an arm to us. Not all balance is lost though.
Manx cats do not have a tail and seem to do okay.
But even manx cats seem to stumble here and there. the tail helps in a way.
no the whiskers are used so they don't bump into things but the tail is used for balance so if you cut off the tail they probably wouldn't have very good balance
They lose their balance
Yes!A cats whiskers are like our pinky toes we need them for balance!
They might think that it is play or they are bothered.
Do not cut your rabbit's whiskers because they are important sensory tools that help a rabbit navigate in front of them (a blind spot). However, in the accidental case that you do, do not worry; the whiskers will grow back.
I believe so, but it would be hard because cats need their whiskers to feel how big a space is and if they can get through it. cat whiskers are the same width of the cats body, so I'm guessing they do grow to mach the cats body width
Cats use their whiskers as a guideline for the size of their head. Say a cat is trying to fit through a hole and his whiskers rub, then he knows that he will get stuck if he continues into the hole.

Cats whiskers are used to let the cat know if they will fit through a area. If a cats whiskers are cut it throws off their sense of balance also.
A cat can't balance without its whiskers. Cutting a cats whiskers off is cruel and you'd have to be a complete jackass to do that to an animal

No, because it is connected to the cats nerves and it is helps them move backward and forward. If you cut a cats whiskers it will cause them to have have problems with their equilibrium. it will also make them feel exposed and un-safe.they will also doe if there a kitten

Cats are born with their whiskers. They would probably be kind of "blind" without them. The whiskers on the side of their heads are the width of their body. The whiskers on top of their head are how tall they are. They use them to see if they can fit through spaces or not. They are essential to cats, so never try to cut your cat's whiskers. This can harm them and make it way more difficult for them to tell how big a space is. This could result in them getting stuck or even hurt.
DO NOT trim your dogs whiskers!!!!! They don't grow back!!!! Dogs need them in every part of their life, their whiskers are very important. Please take my advice and don't cut them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A kittens's whiskers is the long stiff hairs on opposite sides of the kitten's nose. They use them for feeling what is around them, and can cause serious damage to the cat if cut of. They give the cat a sense of it's surroundings, especially before it can open it's eyes. Adult cats use their whiskers to feel around and to help them understand what is around them. Even if cats have great eyesight, the whiskers are essencial for the cats health. A cat can die without whiskers.
I dont know if its the same with dogs but my cats wiskers got cut off. It didnt seem to hurt him and they grew back in about a week.
