The engine from Skoda pick up is almost of the same size of the original gas engine with 1289 CC, so you have no problem from this side, but you have to take care of a couple of things.

What you must do is to remove the engine mount from the body and replace it with the one from the pick up and make sure to weld it exactly where it has to be " The best in this case is to mount the engine on the body and weld the mount thereafter ".
