well my dog usually lays somewhere along the house for some time. when i come home i stroke my hands across furniture and notice a spot is warmer then others. also toys are scattered and her water is almost gone and chunks taken out of her food. If they're out of their cages and in the house, they sleep & or wait for their masters to return(if they're used to it). If they're in their cages and not used to it, they whine & whimper very loudly & can't stay put, looking around. They bark whenever they hear the slightest sound & can't stop. They sniff around the house, lay down on a cool surface if they're hot, play with other pets if any and their toys.

∙ 14y agoSome dogs like to tear up the house when their owners are away. Others just sleep or play with their toys or with other dogs. Really devoted dogs sometimes mope or are depressed.
