According to Wikipedia's website, a Schutzhund is a type of protection dog. For example, the German Shepherd is type of protection dog that is used for official police work.
Schutzhund is training your dog for protection by using certain commands. It is also a competitive sport where you and your dog earn points by how well you give commands and how the dog responds to them.
Well German Shepherds are most commonly entered but any dog can participate, even mutts!
If you have papers on your dog, the easy answer is yes. If not, you can take photos of your dog and submit them for a ILP number. AKC ILP numbers allow you to compete in obedience, agility, performance tests and rally. Many rescues are registered with ILP numbers. This is not a full registration, that can only be had with proof of at least 3 generations of AKC registered dogs, and the breeder must have registered the litter when they were born.

It's to bring a dog back to what it was originally bred for. Tracking, Obedience, and Protection work are the three events the dog has to be tested on. Idealy a dog should have a schutzhund 1 to be bred and a breed survey. This sport originated in Germany and is most commonly played by German Shepherd Dogs, but all breeds are allowed to enter. There are certain restrictions such as height and length of the dog since most dogs are too big from being bred wrong. You need the right temperment and structure in a the mother dog to get good puppies. And the same goes for the male dog you are breeding her with. There are many shows all over the US and the world you can go to watch. Conformation and Trial are just two types. Thank you for reading up on schutzhund, and I hope you get into the sport as much as I am!

Yes they can but you have to apply to the UKKC just the same as the IKC but there is no need for the dog to be registered in both.
A "junior handler" in agility is a handler who is under the age of 18. This is true for most other dog sports as well (except I believe that for Schutzhund a junior handler is considered anyone under 21).
If you got your dog at a breeder and are good breeders they should have the history of your dogs and what puppies of your dog were registered. If your dog is a Jack Russell Terrier (for instance) the the American Kennel Club for Jack Russel's should have this recorded (if you did have them recorded.) If you didn't do so and sold them then you are out of luck.
