Usually not. Lead projectiles from a musket are low velocity and usually retain their mass after impact. If they contact bone, they can fracture and leave lead particles.

Why didnt they take out the bullet out?

They dont need to take the bullet out in many cases. Doctors will evaluate if it is safe to remove the bullet or not. It is not unusual to hear a bullet lodged in to a skull or spinal cord to be left in the body. Due to friction between the bullet and barrel plus the atmosphere by the time bullet reaches the body its already too hot and perfectly sterilised. There is no risk of infection from the bullet. Lead poisoning can only happen when there is oxidation. As oxigen can not reach the lead in the body it is safe to leave it in rather than causing more damage to the body trying to take it out.

What are the chracteristics of a shrapnel wound?

Shrapnel wounds (generally during war time) comes in various forms: * Shrapnel is extremely sharp and it's caused by a bomb or grenade (booby traps). The thrust can sever a head or limbs. * Shrapnel can embed itself into a human body destroying organs, or, if the poor soldier is lucky enough it can be removed. * Shrapnel causes paralysis in the less fortunate (severs the spinal column.) * Shrapnel can also enter the gut area and cause severe damage laying the person's stomach wide open. * Shrapnel can enter the body at any angle and can be in extremely small pieces which is difficult for the surgeon to remove.

Is there blood in splinter cell conviction PC version?

Yes, there is. Although, I haven't played the console versions, so I don't know what the blood is like there, I can tell you that when you shoot the enemies, a blood spray effect occurs, and if you shoot them in the head, it will leave a bullet hole where you shot them. I do not believe that shots to other parts of the body leave bullet holes.

Ammunition or explosive material which presents a projection hazard?

Although both can, explosive material represents a projection hazard by producing shrapnel on impact with a hard object. So, if launching explosive material, be careful. wouldn't want shrapnel to cut into your body!
