No, in order for iron to rust it must be exposed to oxygen. Since there is no oxygen in oil oxidation cannot occur.

No. It needs oxygen available in airSo if the nail is in oil it will not rust because it is no exposed to air or oxygen.

oil is used alot to protect metal but it does not completely pretect the metal but it help preserve it for a while
