Penguins hatch on their mother's feet. Shortly before the eggs are supposed to hatch, the mother penguin returns and takes over the egg tending. The father heads back to the sea and replenishes his blubber & returns right after the eggs hatch with food for the baby.

How are penguins born?
One of the toughest challenges for penguins is the birth of a baby chick. Once the female penguin forms the egg with the baby chick inside, the daddy penguin keeps the egg warm on his feet under his feathers. That means he has to walk on his heels for about a couple weeks to even a entire month! If he drops it, the chick will freeze to death and it will never hatch. Dads are responsible for the babies. The moms go out to collect fish to eat. When she finally returns back, she regurgitates it to the baby. (Or spit out of her body. I know it sounds disgusting, but it's true.)

I'm only at my moms house two days a week, and from past experiences, I can see that cats don't really bond with you when you don't see them too often. At my dads house, he doesn't really put up with indoor cats, and I hate it that we have my other cat outside (a few years ago we tried getting a kitten and he got hit by a car). I was thinking, maybe if I got a kitten that was all my responsibility and my dad would hardly know it was there, I could keep it with me at like all times. If I brought this cat with me to both my dads and my moms house, would it be too much for me or the cat? And do you think it would work? Btw this probably won't happen but I was just thinking
