As long as the what caused the air bag to go off did not damage the steering, yes.
If I trigger the air bag by mistake working on the car it will still steer.
power steering fluid will spray out and u will not have any power steering it will steer like u don't have the car started [very hard] but u can still steer the car
the steering pump belt is loose and needs to be tightened up. hope this helps.
Your car will still steer but it will feel very heavy.
you can still drive the car but its not recommended, its pretty hard on the power steering pump
Power steering fluid is needed to keep the power steering operating correctly. However in an emergency you can still steer the vehicle without power steering fluid, it is just really hard to turn the wheel without the power assist.
For most cars there is a separate pulley groove and belt for the alternator and power steering. That way if your alternator belt breaks you could still steer the vehicle.
Plugged or stuck valve in the power steering unit would be my guess. The power steering pump (the thing you add fluid to) is probably OK if you can still turn right as usual.
because its going bad be careful the power steering will stop working and it will be hard to steer it happened to me and it had to be replaced so i hope your car is still under warrenty
I would guess so, it would just be much harder to steer.
In general, once you start slipping you no longer have steering control. The GENERAL rules are, steer INTO a turn, in other words, if the back end is coming around to your left, steer left so that the front wheels are aiming in the direction of travel. Hopefully you'll be able to get a little control back at that point. Then, once you have steering control back, use the brakes to reduce velocity. If you have an ABS system on your car, the brakes will take care of themselves but you still need to steer into the slide.
You can still steer without the pump, but its difficult, and the system was designed with the assist in mind so things are likely to start breaking if you go too long.
You will still be able to steer the vehicle, but it's going to take lots of extra effort ... same is true of the brakes - more pressure is going to be required if you lose engine power.
