It is located on the rear of the motor, top left if sitting in the seat. Just follow the fuel line from the carb.
Oil is on the back of motor at the top beside the distibutor Water temp is next to the thermostat. Fuel level is in the tank, on the side of the pump module.
You are going to have to remove the fuel tank by disconnecting the hoses and wiring harness.Only then can you access the pump which goes in the top of the tank.

To replace the fuel pump, you have to drop the gas tank and the fuel pump is located right on the top of it. The fuel pump is not on top of the gas tank. It is a mechanical fuel pump and is bolted to the side of the engine block.
