how do you replace a cigarette lighter in a Vauxhall Astra
Belt :)
All Vauxhall 2.2 petrol engines in Astra and Zafira have a chain. The Sintra and the Omega are belt driven as they were fitted with what was in effect a bored out version of the X20XEV which was belt driven.
Most of the later vauxhalls have the sensor in the inlet pipe, between the air filter box and the engine. It has a multi-pin plug on it from the wiring loom and is usually a push fit in a boss or grommet.
i think the convertible lid is shorter due to the panel nearest to the hood opening (bit that lifts when hood is stored) I will check tomorrow as i have coupe and friend at work has convertible.
on the right hand side back of engine
You don't say what year your motor is,but assuming this is the Z22SE engine,it will have a chain.(Check engine options in owner's handbook)Don't think there are any variations on 2.2 petrols,so you should be ok.
There is no set replacement interval. It should be replaced when it becomes noisy. Failure to maintain the correct oil level, change the oil at recommended intervals or use the correct grade of oil can dramatically reduce the life of the chain.
No. You can remove the clutch and gearbox with the engine in-situ.
It meansthe road is iced.
No, it has a chain. long Chain with Hydraulic (problematic) Tensioners
There is TC button near the gear stick, but if is not, then you have to make it by yourself.
