Anyway, the the washer goes on a bolt before the nut.

Go to your local auto parts store, and get a power stearing pully installer/remover. Sounds to me like you are just trying to use a bolt. That would work you need to get a longer bolt with a nut and large strong washer. place the nut on the bolt, thread it to the top,put on the washer, place the pully where it goes screw the bolt in til it bottoms out DONT FORCE, now tighten the nut down on the washer and pully you should be able to push the pully all the way on now.

Remove the bottle from beneath and replacing it is the reverse but you must put the bottom bolt in first to hold it in place before going to the top and installing the top bolt.

Here is something you can try. Go to the hardware store and get a conduit mounting clamp that fits your shaft size, then get an eye bolt, You will need two nuts for the eye bolt. mount the clamp on the shaft, put one nut on the eye bolt and insert it in to the other hole, putting the secong nut on the bottom, tighten the two nuts, clip on your strap you should be good to go.

Use a bolt and lock washer to install. In either scenario, be sure to clean off the paint where the cable end is going to touch the metal. This will ensure a good connection. AnswerFirst check the fuse, then use a test light, with the ignition key on, to see if the switch has power (if not replace the wires to the switch or try to find the break in the wire), then check if the plug to the window motor has power (If not replace the switch). If those are good, replace the window motor. Pop out the center of the rivets with a Phillips screw driver and a hammer (it doesn't take much). Then use some bolts and nuts with a flat washer on the bolt side and flat and lock washers on the nut side. they should be just long enough to go through and hold it (if they are too long the window regulator will bind on the bolts).First put a flat washer on the bolt, put through hole, hold up the window motor onto the bolt, flat washer, lock washer and nut, leave them all loose until you have them all in, then tighten until the lock washer is flattened. You may want to buy a few extra bolts washers and nuts, they are easy to lose in gravel or grass. Also, you may or may not have to replace the window regulator with the motor. Some motors are bolted to the regulator and some have pressed connectors.
