No, it is Magnesium sulphate with 7 molecules of water contained in the crystals
No it's not the same at all.
Epsom salts, magnesium sulfate, is polar. Rule of thumb: All salts are polar.
Yes
All ionic compound are not salts but all salts are ionic compounds for example NaOH is an ionic compound but not the salt.
Rock salt and calcium chloride are not the same thing. Rock salt's molecular formula is the same as table salt, NaCl, Sodium Chloride. It is called rock salt, because it is a mineral salt that forms naturally and is mined. The salt in the sea is dissolved NaCl, the water is then evaporated and sea salt is left behind. Calcium chloride is also a salt, but not one to eat. It has several common applications such as brine for refrigeration plants, ice and dust control on roads, and in concrete. It can be produced directly from limestone, but large amounts are also produced as a by-product of the Solvay process. Because of its hygroscopic nature, it must be kept in tightly-sealed containers.
No it's not the same at all.
It is ionic bacause it conducts electricity
Epsom salt (MgSO4.7H2O) is used as: - laxative - fertilizer - supplement of magnesium - desiccant - additive in beer production - component of bath salts etc.
Epsom salt crystals are prism shaped. Table Salt Crystals are cube shaped. :) Love Ya All! ♥♥♥ ~Stasiabear
Yes all living things contain calcium
Epsom Salt isn't salt at all. It's magnesium sulfate and used for many health and gardening purposes as a natural alternative. Epsom salt. There are tons of ways to use it to feel better, even toenail fungus! http://www.ehow.com/how_4933618_use-salt-toenail-fungus-treatment.html Also works great to fertilize flowers and plants! http://www.ehow.com/how_5016008_grow-flowers-epsom-salt.html Kathy
no you have to use epsom salt Edited by dbrown7080: "no you have to use epsom salt" Really?? Thats like saying that only 1 kind of spice will work on your food. There all kinds of things you can use in a bath and every one of them have advantages and disadvantages. Magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt) is good for sore joints or to relax. Sodium Chloride (table salt) would be good to help skin problems.
The toxins are taken out of the body by perspiration from the hot bath, to the extent that any are lost at all.
all of them
Yes. All cheese contains calcium.

Epsom salt crystals can basically grow to any size you want them to!! It all depends on how much salt and water you use. In addition, the amount of time you let the epsom salt crystal sit in the solution affects its growth. For example, if you let it sit for a month, it will be larger than if you had let it sit for only a few miniscule days. Good luck with your crystal!!!!!
