Do you need the HDMI cable for the PS3?

no you do not have to have an hdmi for ps3 but i would recommend it to play your games in hd because hdmi stands for hi-definition multimedia interface. The HDMI cable is for the PS3 to connect to HDTVs and is not needed for standard TVs which do not even have HDMI inputs. If your TV has HDMI inputs you need to purchase a HDMI cable before you spend your money on a new game, Movie, download or anything else because it is not giving you a picture from the PS3 in HD

What do you need to connect your vga PC to a HDMI tv a converter or an adapter?

Many modern televisions have analog inputs as well as the digital HDMI input. It is worth checking the manual to see if the television supports RGB inputs with separate horizontal and vertical sync signals. If the television has an RGBHV input, the VGA signal may well work through it.If the television only has HDMI inputs, the PC will need a DVI display output. This is a digital signal format that is compatible with HDMI. A DVI to HDMI lead should connect the two without problems. Note that HDMI also carries audio on the same cable but DVI does not. To connect the audio, a separate lead will be needed to connect to the analog input that is normally linked with at least one HDMI input. Once again, check the manual to see if one of the inputs has a selectable analog audio input.DVI outputs can be obtained as expansion cards for desktop PCs and as USB devices for use with laptops. Some newer PCs actually have HDMI connectors built in. Laptops sometimes have them fitted to save space on connectors. If this is the case, a single HDMI lead is likely to carry both video and audio signals.

How do you connect your 360 and cable box to your surround sound system with HDMI cables to get surround sound for all of them and get HD picture?

You'll need a receiver with at least 2 HDMI inputs and 1 output, as well as an HD-capable cable box. Connect the XBOX and the cable box to the receiver with the HDMI cables, and then plug the HDMI output on the receiver to the TV.

What cable do you need for a plasma tv to blu ray DVD?

If you have 2 DVD recorders can you hook both of them up to the same TV and play a DVD on the DVD player while you record what you are playing on the other DVD recorder?

Yes, although you may need to get a switch to select which recorder you want to watch. The easiest solution is if your DVRs both have HDMI outputs, and the TV has 2 or more HDMI inputs. You simply select the DVR you want to watch by choosing the appropriate HDMI input. Similarly, if one DVR has an HDMI output and the other has component or composite outputs, you can also switch units by choosing the appropriate input on your TV. If your TV does not have enough HDMI inputs (or none) then you may need to get a switching box that will allow you to connect two devices with composite or component outputs to a TV with only one set of inputs.

Can you connect a 3D blu ray player to a 3D projector?

For the best quality, the projector has to be a high definition one with an HDMI input. However, almost all Bluray players have an analog, standard definition output that can be connected to projectors that do not have HDMI inputs.

How to connect my galaxy note 3 to tv via HDMI cable?

Can a hdtv with dvi in work with sony playstation3 using dvi HDMI HDMI cable?

Yes, a DVI input will usually accept an HDMI signal via an adapter cable but make sure the TV input is HDCP compliant otherwise protected content, such as Blu-ray movies, will not be viewable. Also be aware that DVI inputs do not carry any sound, so you will need to connect the PS3 audio with a separate cable to the TV or amplifier. Many TVs have a pair of phono inputs for this purpose but may need to be assigned as the audio connection when DVI input is selected.

Does a Yamaha htr 5830 have HD?

I'm not sure what you mean by "HD," but I've owned this receiver for almost two years and here's what it does have - two Optical and one coax digital audio inputs - two component video inputs and one component video output these two features can be classified as HD as component video is rated just about the same as HDMI. The three digital audio inputs can be classifed as HD as well. Just remember that if you want HD quality from either a Set Top Box or a DVD player, you will need one cable for each of the video and audio. There are no HDMI inputs for this receiver. The nice thing about HDMI is that you can get both HD quality audio and video from one cable. I hope this helps
